  • Transparent, so a blockage is seen rather than diagnosed
  • A steel spiral at a 3:1 compression ratio, so it stores short and will not collapse
  • A dozen diameters share one listing — the €65 applies to one of them

Best for: Replacing a split or opaque hose on an extractor, in whatever diameter the port takes

Every figure below is a manufacturer specification read off the listing itself. The judgments are ours.

What the specification says

Transparent polyurethane, 1.5 mm (0.06 in) wall, with a copper-plated steel spiral and a 3:1 compression ratio. Rated from −40 °C (-40 °F) to +90 °C (194 °F). Part number 145263. The title lists diameters from 25 mm (0.98 in) up to 600 mm (23.6 in).

One listing, many hoses

This is a variant listing, and the diameter and length are chosen in the basket rather than fixed by the product. That makes the single quoted price approximate at best: it belongs to one combination among many, and the figure you pay depends on what you select. Read the variant twice before ordering.

Keep the run short

Whatever diameter you end up with, every meter of flexible hose and every bend costs airflow. A short straight run from the machine to the extractor beats a long coiled one with the same extractor behind it, and it beats it by more than most people expect.

What comes up most often

How do I choose the diameter?

Match the machine port and do not reduce it. Flow through a duct falls away sharply as diameter drops, so a small hose on a large port turns a chip collector into something weaker than a workshop vacuum. If a machine has a 100 mm (3.94 in) port, the hose is 100 mm (3.94 in), and an adaptor down to a vacuum hose is the compromise of last resort.

Is polyurethane worth paying for?

On a hose that drags across a concrete floor and takes chips at speed, yes. PU resists both abrasion from the inside and scuffing from the outside far better than molded PVC, which is where cheap hoses split. The transparency is a bonus with a practical payoff: you can see where a blockage sits instead of taking the run apart.
