Every figure below is a manufacturer specification read off the listing itself. The judgments are ours.

What the specification says

Over-glasses with a hingeless arm construction, flexible arm tips, and the uvex Supravision Excellence coating — anti-fog on the inside, scratch and chemical resistant on the outside. Made in Germany. Part number UX-OO-OTG.

No rating on the listing

The manufacturer describes the design and the coating at length and never quotes an impact standard. Uvex is a long-established maker of protective eyewear and the omission is almost certainly a listing gap rather than a product one, but it is a gap: the face shield reviewed alongside this states five standards by name, and this states none.

Hingeless arms are the comfort feature

The side arms have no hinge and no pivot: they flex along their length and the soft tips take the shape of the head. That is what lets them sit over the arms of a pair of prescription glasses without pressing them into the temples, which is the reason most over-glasses get abandoned after twenty minutes. It also means there is no hinge to fill with dust and seize.

Identical pricing across Europe

€14 in Germany, Britain, Italy and Spain, €15 in France. Not sold on amazon.com. A four-market price identity is rare enough on this site to be worth noting on its own — most products here vary by half or more between Germany and Italy, and this one varies by a euro.

What comes up most often

Why not just rely on my own glasses?

Because prescription lenses are not impact rated and the frames leave the sides open. A chip off a lathe or a mitre saw arrives from an unpredictable direction at speed, and an ordinary lens can shatter rather than deflect. Over-glasses exist precisely because the alternative — prescription safety glasses — costs many times more.

What does the anti-fog coating actually change?

Whether the glasses are on your face. Safety eyewear fails almost entirely through not being worn, and fogging in a cold workshop is the commonest reason people push them up. A coating that keeps the inside clear is not a luxury feature; it is the difference between protection and a pair of glasses on the bench.
