The end of it The stronger motor of the two European spindle sanders here, on a listing that tells you less.
Every figure is a manufacturer specification, read off the
listing itself, and the judgments are ours — drawn from how the
specification behaves in this class of machine and from what long-term
owners consistently report. Where a figure is missing, we say so rather
than fill it in.
What the specification says
650 W, compact oscillating spindle sander, part number 949538. The listing does
not itemize the drums, sleeves or table inserts supplied.
Against the Scheppach
More motor, smaller footprint, €12 cheaper in Germany — and an unknown
accessory complement against Scheppach’s stated six sleeves, six drums and
matching inserts.
That is the trade in a sentence. If the Triton ships with a full set it is the
better machine; if it ships with one drum, the difference in price disappears
into the first accessory order. Ask before ordering.
The grit progression, and why skipping costs more than it saves
Each grit removes the scratches of the one before it. Skip a step — 80
straight to 180 — and the 180 paper polishes the 80-grit scratches
instead of removing them. They are invisible on bare timber and obvious
the moment a finish goes on, under a raking light, at which point the
only fix is to start again at 80.
The progression costs one extra sheet. The mistake costs the panel.

The good side, and the catch
Strengths
650 W against the Scheppach's 450 W — the two highest-rated spindle sanders on the European half of this shelf
Compact footprint, which matters on a crowded bench
One reference and one EAN across all six markets
Compromises
Priced only on the German store when we checked
The listing does not say which sleeve sizes are included
Compact means a smaller table, so large workpieces need support

What comes up most often
Is 650 W better than 450 W here?
It helps on hardwood and on aggressive grits, where a small motor slows under pressure and the sleeve starts to burnish rather than cut. On softwood and fine grits neither machine is working hard. Treat it as headroom rather than as a decisive advantage.
Which sleeves does it come with?
The listing does not say, and that is the question to ask the seller. Sleeve sizes and matching table inserts are what make a spindle sander usable across a range of curves; a machine supplied with one drum needs an accessory purchase before it does the job.
