The end of it The fastest joint in the workshop, with the most honest limitation. Use it where it does not show.
Every figure is a manufacturer specification, read off the
listing itself, and the judgments are ours — drawn from how the
specification behaves in this class of machine and from what long-term
owners consistently report. Where a figure is missing, we say so rather
than fill it in.
What the specification says
A pocket hole jig supplied with a stepped drill bit, a driver bit and screws.
Part number KPHJ720-INT_FBA. No EAN is published on this listing.
What it does differently
Every other joinery method on this page holds two pieces together while glue
cures. A pocket screw does not wait: the angled screw pulls the joint tight and
holds it permanently, and the assembly can be picked up and used immediately.
That single property — no clamps, no cure time — is why pocket holes dominate
shop furniture, jigs and cabinet carcases, and why they appear almost nowhere in
fine furniture.
The availability gap
No barcode on the listing means we could not check the French, Italian, Spanish,
British or American stores, and readers outside Germany are sent to a local
search rather than a page we cannot confirm exists.
Availability
No such listing: the American Amazon shop answers the reference with a search box rather than a page.
Read from Keepa on the day this page was last revised; stock and price both move without notice.
The good side, and the catch
Strengths
A joint that is clamped and finished in under a minute
The complete kit — jig, stepped bit, driver, screws — in one purchase
No glue-up time, so a carcase can be assembled and moved immediately
Compromises
No EAN, so we could not confirm it is sold outside Germany
The joint is visible on one face and cannot be hidden
Strength depends entirely on the screw, not on wood-to-wood contact

What comes up most often
Is a pocket screw joint strong?
In shear, surprisingly strong — the screw is doing structural work and it is a lot of screw. In racking and in tension over time, less so, because there is no glued long-grain surface holding it. For a cabinet carcase screwed to a wall it is entirely adequate; for a chair, it is not.
Why is it so popular for shop furniture?
Because it needs no clamps and no waiting. A workbench, a cabinet or a jig can be drilled, screwed and used the same hour. That is worth a visible plug on the inside face, which is exactly where the joint ends up.
